The Sherratt Gallery
Theatre Director, John Sherratt ran Compass Theatre, for the council's Youth and Community Service from 1968 to 1991.
During that time he took many wonderful production photographs and, following his death in 2015, his extensive collection of photographs were given to the borough's archives. Between 2020 lockdowns, Theatre and Museum officers were able to take digital photos of just some of this previously unshared collection.
The council intends to properly digitally archive the full collection, but for now please enjoy John's photos from these Compass Theatre productions, from the 1980s;
