Covid-19

In response to the government's guidance, the Compass and Winston Churchill Theatres will no longer be putting on shows until further notice.

We are currently refunding tickets to customers for shows until 30 April. We will contact customers in due course, so it will help if ticketholders don't try to call in. We will contact you.

Please await further news for shows from 1 May.

Some of our room hires will continue as normal, although many are disrupted. Contact your provider for more information in each case.

Compass Kidz is not currently running.

Compass History

The Compass Theatre is the hub of Arts Services for the London Borough of Hillingdon and also home to 360 Youth Theatre, Talking Pictures UK Ltd and Dance Challenge. The venue is professionally managed by a small team of permanent staff supported by volunteers.

Volunteers help with box-office, the coffee and wine bars and various other roles within the organisation. Many local organisations use the Compass to provide a varied programme of arts events. There is a also a programme of activities for young people from Compass Kidz who offer monthly drama classes for 4 to 10 year olds, Stars at Knight which run drama classes for 5 to 18 year olds, through to the 360 Youth Theatre who provide weekly classes in drama, vocal and film making workshops for 13 to 19 year olds.

Since the purchase of the premises by the Middlesex County Council in 1947, there have been many changes due to changing political, economic and community needs. Through it all Compass has developed into a much appreciated local facility providing a range of activities for the whole community.
