Compass Theatre Access

The Compass Theatre is accessible by wheelchair and has 2 dedicated wheelchair spaces inside the auditorium on the front row, disabled badge holder car parking space for up to 3 cars, accessible toilet facilities, free tickets for essential carers on request and assistance dogs are welcome. The auditorium is fitted with an induction loop for those with hearing difficulties.

Backstage, Compass has a disabled toilet and a disabled lift from ground floor to the backstage corridor, enabling performers in wheelchairs to access the stage.

Other spaces inside Compass Theatre and Ickenham Hall

  • The theatre's Bar has level access from within the theatre and outside.
  • The Studio has level access from both within the Theatre and from outside and is fitted with an induction loop.
  • The Green Room has level access both from inside and outside and is fitted with an induction loop.
  • The Oak Room in Ickenham Hall is accessed by one step from within the theatre, with a ramp available by request. The Oak Room does not have an induction loop installed up to 2 portable induction loops are available by request.

Other Ickenham Hall rooms and the theatre's wardrobe are only accessible by stairs.

Winston Churchill Theatre

Up to 4 patrons in wheelchairs can be accommodated inside the auditorium at Winston Churchill Theatre.  In the foyer, a disabled lift takes patrons from street level, down to the level of the auditorium entrance. Should the lift be out of use, alternative entry and exit points for disabled patrons is via the theatre's bar, the Winston Churchill Lounge.

There is no backstage lift enabling disabled patrons onto the stage or into the dressing rooms.

Winston Churchill Theatre is fitted with an induction loop, has disabled toilets and guide dogs are welcome.
