Speaking in Tongues by Andrew Bovell

When a woman disappears, nine lives weave together in this tense, electrifying play about relationships between lovers, strangers, and the infinite ways people wound one another. Four marriages become entangled in a web of love, deceit, sex and death. Who will survive?

Winner of the Australian Writers’ Guild award for Best Play, Proscenium presents this compelling and sophisticated drama which explores themes of love, marriage, infidelity and betrayal. The play was first performed in the UK at Hampstead Theatre in 2000, and revived in the West End in 2009. Andrew Bovell also adapted it for a screenplay as the multi award-winning film Lantana.

This production is part of Proscenium’s Centenary Season, celebrating 100 years of Proscenium. Ticket price includes a programme, available on your way in.
