Performances at the Compass Theatre, Ickenham in 22 - 25 November, 2017
Rehearsals in Ruislip, in easy reach of the A40 and the Metropolitan, Piccadilly and Central lines.
This amateur production is a great opportunity for male principles and chorus of all ethnicities; both experienced performers as well as budding newcomers. Minimum age 18.

The Show: Sister Act is based on the hit film starring Whoopi Goldberg and Maggie Smith.  Featuring original music by Alan Menken (Disney’s Aladdin and Beauty and the Beast, Enchanted), Sister Act is the funniest and funkiest musical around. It tells the hilarious story of Deloris van Cartier, an aspiring nightclub singer in Philadelphia whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a murder.  Deloris sees her sleazeball gangster boyfriend, Curtis, shoot an informer. Being a witness puts her next on his hit list.  Deloris runs to the police and under protective custody she is hidden in the one place she won’t be found – a convent! Disguised as a nun and under the suspicious watch of Mother Superior, Deloris feels as though it is the worst thing in the world, but once she is introduced to the struggling choir at the convent, everything changes as Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own.

Rehearsals: Ruislip, Middlesex, in easy reach of the A40 and the Metropolitan, Piccadilly and Central lines. Mondays and Wednesday evenings plus occasional Sundays.
Performances: Wednesday 22 November, 2017 - Saturday 25 November, 2017 (plus Saturday Matinee) at Compass Theatre
