In memory of Emily

How Covid-19 changed our lives

Tracey Perugia 1 Tracey Perugia 2

Our daughter, Emily, became ill with Coronavirus and after 9 days, passed away on 26th March 2020. She was 29.

Emily loved life and lived to make people laugh. She was a people person and had found her niche in her career - firstly working as a clinic administrator at Northwood Health Centre, then as a Care Co-ordinator arranging care packages for  patients, a job she loved. She had to overcome many hurdles while she was growing up, including writing difficulties (dysgraphia), but passed her degree at Swansea University. She was engaged to James who she met there and they had bought a flat together in Uxbridge and were looking forward to a bright future together.

Her spare time was mainly spent running her Ruislip Manor Rainbow and Brownie units, and spending time with her friends and family, usually entertaining them with her numerous impressions.

Emily was one of a kind, always smiling and usually planning something mischievous, but never malicious, to brighten someone's day.  She loved musical theatre, especially The Rocky Horror Show,  Disney, Eurovision and 'old' music including Queen and Elvis.

Emily touched the lives of so many people - friends, family, work colleagues and patients. She has left a huge hole in all of our lives, but I'm sure she will never be forgotten by anyone who knew her.
