Murder She Wrote

Join Hillingdon Libraries for their evening of crime fiction featuring debut author Lesley Kara, the highly acclaimed Lucy Foley and bestselling author Fiona Barton, as they discuss their recently published thrillers.

Three incredible women, three deadly mysteries, three books you’ll love!

Fiona Barton was a journalist (senior writer at the Daily Mail, news editor at the Daily Telegraph, and chief reporter at The Mail on Sunday, where she won Reporter of the Year at the National Press Awards), then gave up her job to volunteer in Sri Lanka and since 2008, has trained and worked with exiled and threatened journalists all over the world. Her first book, The Widow, was published in 36 countries and made the Sunday Times and New York Times Best Seller lists. She lives in the south-west with her husband.

Lesley Kara is an alumna of the Faber Academy 'Writing a Novel' course. She completed an English degree and PGCE at Greenwich University, having previously worked as a nurse and a secretary, and then became a lecturer and manager in Further Education. She lives on the North Essex coast. The Rumour is her first novel.

Lucy Foley studied English Literature at Durham and UCL universities and worked for several years as a fiction editor in the publishing industry, before leaving to write full-time. The Hunting Party is her debut crime novel, inspired by a particularly remote spot in Scotland that fired her imagination.

Please note that Renee Knight was due to be appearing at this author event, but has since been replaced by Lucy Foley , author of The Hunting Party.
