An evening with two authors

UPDATE September 2018 - please note that Hillingdon Libraries have moved the venue of this event, Compass Theatre to Ickenham Library.

Best-selling author Harriet Evans will at Ickenham Library, talking about her latest book The Wildflowers, a current Richard and Judy Summer 2018 Book Club title.

About the book...
One golden family, hiding decades of secrets Tony and Althea Wilde. Glamorous, argumentative ... adulterous to the core. They were my parents, actors known by everyone. They gave our lives love and colour in a house by the sea - the house that sheltered my orphaned father when he was a boy. But the summer Mads arrived changed everything. She too had been abandoned and my father understood why. We Wildflowers took her in.
This is my story. I am Cordelia Wilde. A singer without a voice. A daughter without a father. Let me take you inside...

Ticket cost includes a copy of Harriet's book, The Wildflowers distributed at the event.

UPDATE August 2018 - at this event, Harriet Evans will now be joined by fellow novelist and writer Fanny Blake

Fanny Blake will be talking about her latest novel An Italian Summer, which is a novel about friendship, family secrets and second chances, set against the backdrop of southern Italy.  Sandy is in her fifties, and at a crossroads in her life: she's a teacher and respected by her pupils, but she feels she is being side-lined in favour of younger colleagues. So, when her mother dies, leaving her a sealed envelope addressed to an unknown woman living in Naples, Sandy decides to head to Italy to resolve the mystery by delivering the letter herself. She books herself on to a small sightseeing trip from Rome to Naples and the Amalfi Coast, hoping to meet some like-minded people along the way. Who is the mysterious woman she is searching for? And will Sandy find friendship, or even love, along the way...?
