John Russell - An Australian Impressionist
A Lecture from Lucrezia Walker

Born in Sydney, Australia, John Russell moved to Europe in his late teenage years to attend art school.  Known as the Lost Impressionist, he was a friend of Van Gogh and an artist regarded by Rodin as equal to Monet, Renoir and Matisse.

Lucrezia Walker is a regular lecturer at the National Gallery both in front of the paintings and in the lecture theatre, who speaks to corporate sponsors in both Tate Galleries and teaches US undergraduates on their Study Abroad semesters in London.
